NEED HELP Oil Pressure guage drops to zero (sometimes) during idle

@TJBaker57 and @Mooseman , what do you think of the lifter noise that @GlensG8 mentioned as a sign of (truly) low oil pressure? (Clearly a real gauge would be preferred.)

NOCO Boost X jump packs for 4.2L: seeking real-world experience

Do you have experience with the NOCO Boost X lithium battery jump start packs on the 4.2L engine? Or would you recommend something different? NOCO says its models GBX 45, 55, 75, and 155 are good up to 6.5L, 7.5L, 8.5L and 10.0L gasoline engines respectively. Therefore I expect any of them will...

After front brake pad & rotor replacement, front calipers are stuck

Thank you. I agree with all that. Copper is softer, thus a better seal than steel. I had wondered the necessity of Loctite. Thanks for your report. FWIW, I ordered new ACDelco from RA today.

After front brake pad & rotor replacement, front calipers are stuck

I see this old thread on new vs reman calipers and am still pondering: https://gmtnation.com/forums/threads/new-vs-reman-brake-calipers.19333/post-572531 "New calipers made in China vs remans made by the factory." "Remans don't change out the piston because it is usually a resin piston"...

After front brake pad & rotor replacement, front calipers are stuck

Ok, I see ACDelco calipers and hoses reasonably available from Rockauto. For calipers, what are the thoughts on new versus reman? New ACDelco: $91 https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=8821272 Reman ACDelco: $50 + core $45 https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=889818

After front brake pad & rotor replacement, front calipers are stuck

Ok. I plan to buy new calipers. My guess was from this prior post: "The phenolic resin pistons can swell with age at the outer end. When the pistons are pushed back in for new pads they can stick."...

After front brake pad & rotor replacement, front calipers are stuck

I replaced my 2002 Envoy's front pads and rotors according to instructions such as https://gmtnation.com/forums/threads/how-to-change-brake-pads-and-rotors.1026/ Note: Compressing the caliper pistons was much more difficult than it looks in videos. I used a clamp and had to really crank on it...

2002 – 2009 Trailblazer Park Brake Removal “How To”

@Venomhatch, Would you be alright with setting the video to public? (YouTube tells me "Video unavailable. This video is private.") Or, is a different video suggested?

    Changing spark plugs.

In what way are the coils tricky to seat properly, or, how can you tell the coils are seated properly? If seating new boots onto the coils is tricky, then I understand. But, if seating the coils is tricky, then I'm not sure I get it. (I replaced my plugs and boots yesterday and haven't cranked...

FYI: Local shop said the U-joint is fine. They replaced the transmission seal. Thanks for the replies!

NEED HELP Oil slinging from universal joint between transmission and drive shaft on 2003 Sierra 2WD

Hello all, Here's observations, analysis, and a plan. Do you agree/disagree? What would you do differently? 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE, 2WD. Owner is a family member. Miles are very low (49,800 in 17 years). I have drained and refilled the transmission fluid a couple of times within the past 2...
