Shop said it was the fan clutch. Recommend buying original equipment fan clutch which I assume is AC - Delco? Any suggestions on where to purchase and approximately how much I should pay? Dealer only or other source? Thanks alot.- e019404

I have inspected and cleaned the pigtail and connector near the fan clutch. Could not find anything. I don't have a tech II tool, just a code reader. I did change the relay and fuse. I think the next step is to try to find a good wiring diagram and check the harness back toward the PCM...- e019404

I have installed about 4 fan clutches ('03 Envoy 4x4, 4.2L). Recent one in May. Code P1481 came back within 2 weeks. The most recent one was purchased online (rockauto). Any suggestions or advice? thanks- e019404

I removed the front axle actuator. Disassembled it to look for obvious damage and cleaned the internal electrical contact surfaces. Cleaned and checked the front axle actuator connector and checked for loose wires. Reassembled and reinstalled actuator. Click, no actuation and service 4wd...- e019404

Transfer case fluid changed at 78K miles (110K currently). So its still within the 50K but due soon. Prior to going up on ramps I switched from 2HI to A4WD. 2003 Envoy 4WD, 111K miles. Sometimes 4WD works fine. Sometimes, the A4WD light will blink for a few seconds and then light the "Service 4WD" light. Similar when switching to 4HI. I took it to a reputable shop in PHX. They found 19 codes in the TCCM. They cleared the codes and checked out...- e019404
