Agreed. I'm considering this a win. Could have been much worse. Also had them change the valve cover gasket and intake gasket since they were already there.

If anyone is interested, took it to the GMC dealership. There was no compression in cylinder 1. Had a broken valve spring. Had it replaced and is running smooth again.

Any tips on tool combinations used for accessing the intake bolts? They seem difficult to get to. I also noticed my muffler shaking a bit. That may be a result of the rough engine idle though.

Thanks. I pulled the fuses. 13 is toast. Looks like i found the culprit.

So i was using one of those air compressors that connects to your input adapters and i guess it was too much of a load because it killed the adapter. Just stopped working right in the middle of inflating my tire. Any suggestions to diagnose/fix this?

Im not sure of the details. I just know thats what they tried to charge her first. Then she complained, then they changed their mind.

Update. The new belt came today. So I removed the old belt, then started the truck...no noise (no birds chirping). Put the new belt on….still no noise (no birds chirping). Problem solved! So the belt was bad (even though it appeared to be in pretty good shape). I’m guessing the ridiculous...
