Snap-On Solus Legend ($800.00 Kit via eBay)

I’d say with the 3.6 being an all aluminum engine, it likely has cracked heads if it was run to the point that it stalled out from overheating.

Snap-On Solus Legend ($800.00 Kit via eBay)

Here you go - a 2021 Durango which will be identical to your Grand Cherokee. Just pull the carpet back a little on the right side of the console up near the firewall and plug into the green connector. Any open port will do.

Snap-On Solus Legend ($800.00 Kit via eBay)

I honestly wouldn’t bother with it. The only times I ever need to use WITECH is for programming modules or key programming on later model vehicles. It has been a while since I’ve used a Snapon scanner but I have several other brands and they handle the diagnostic side just fine. Most J2534...

Snap-On Solus Legend ($800.00 Kit via eBay)

The 12+8 cable on most vehicles is too much trouble in my opinion. The two-pin connector that plugs into the STAR connector is much simpler. I have several Durango keys to program at a dealership this week. The Durango and Grand Cherokee are nearly identical vehicles and the connectors are in...

Snap-On Solus Legend ($800.00 Kit via eBay)

All Mopar vehicles from 2018 and up have a secure gateway module. You should be able to read all of the data with this scan tool but bi-directional controls will not work. You can't even clear codes. To get through the SGW, you have to have a subscription to a place call autoauth...

Looking for input on a MDI 1 or 2

I haven’t used it a whole lot. I tried a couple times and it failed flashing a PCM on a 2005 Silverado. Haven’t really tried it much more. Worked great with tech2win though.

Fuel Feeder Line and Cylinder Misfires

Most likely not the pump then but it doesn’t hurt to check.

Fuel Feeder Line and Cylinder Misfires

l would think if you’re losing enough fuel pressure to make it hard to start that you would be seeing gas dripping somewhere and have a strong smell of gas. If you shut it down, does it restart easily after waiting a minute or two? It might be good to get a fuel pressure gauge and see what...

NEED HELP Timing chain replacement won't line up with camshaft phaser?

You should be able to rotate the cam itself, not just the phaser to get it. Looks like you’re only one tooth off. There’s some cam holding tools for that engine that I usually use. You can do it without the tools but they make it easier.

NEED HELP Timing chain replacement won't line up with camshaft phaser?

I don’t know if this helps but I just did one of these chains a couple weeks ago. Here’s a picture of how it lines up.

eBay Listing Used Mini-Mite Key Duplicator $250 FREE S&H

You have to be careful with the older ones as they usually don't have enough space between the tracing and cutting clamps to fit a newer style remote head key.

Additional Tech 2 & VXDIAG Nano Resources

I tried the OBDX Pro this week doing an ABS bleed on a 2005 Cadillac Escalade and it worked perfectly. I poked around in some other modules and live data and it worked for that too. I‘m waiting for another GM to come in needing a flash to see how that goes. I know others have used it and it...

Additional Tech 2 & VXDIAG Nano Resources

I bought this a couple months ago but haven't really had anything to try it out on. It is supposed to be able to handle GDS2, Tech2Win, and J2534 programming. I set up Saab on Tech2Win last night. Now, to get all of the snow off of it and get it back inside...

Additional Tech 2 & VXDIAG Nano Resources

This Saab info is quite handy. I was just here poking around and it just so happens that someone just towed a Saab 9-3 to my shop with lots of electrical gremlins so this will help me out tremendously.
