It was pretty nasty. 60mph dead center of the grille. Still made it home 3 miles with an obliterated front end haha. Never leaves ya walkin even dragging her bloody stumps behind her. Makes me sad seeing it auctioned off.

Well, I know I havent been around in a long time but I hit a deer with my 06 and Progressive sent it to the auction in Pittsburgh.... $8600 in damage from what they said... Gotta find the pics and post them for ya, it was a sad night. BUT! I just went and got a 03 EXT so I am back...

Tire rotation time again. Got that done and checked all the fluids while she was in the air. 20k since I changed the t-case fluid and it was still full and blue as can be, kinda surprised. Had to massage one of the dust shields on the front knuckle very slightly it would just rub rarely...

Mine is making that exact same tap.... Sounds identical, and yea, the water pump is sloppy and you can watch the belt/pulley wobble ever so slightly when it is running. Sounds like a collapsed lash adjuster and low oil pressure at times lol. Scares the hell outta some mechanics I know. :rotfl:

It actually takes quite a long period of time for the parameters to be met for the TCM to send a code if there is not an electrical problem. If a solenoid goes bad the code is set much quicker than if it has to take readings from several different sensors to decide if there is an internal issue...

haha, yes, I wear the boots now when I do well just about everything.... It has been a busy time this year getting past the loss then tearing into the old house to make it mine. Spent the winter months working on a S Blazer. Rev Input drum stripped itself and took the fwd clutch with it...

My wife has proven that fact back in March....

Im sure I will be corrected if I am wrong but some scantools (the higher quality ones) do not require battery voltage at the DLC and can work even when the fuse is blown. Whereas the cheaper ones and such require battery voltage to be present at the connector to communicate with the system.

That is absolutely right.... It takes, oh about no time at all to tear out the 3/4 clutches starved for fluid. GM had so much trouble with those clutches in particular burning up even when not engaged that they installed little springs to keep them off eachother. If they were engaged and...

Its a front end and a bent tie rod end.. They gave us a rental, a 2012 Traverse, that bastard is big compared to our blazer, barely fits in the garage. My wife found a nice icy patch the other day coming down over the mountain.

In my 06 the traction and stability does stay on in 4HI but they shut down in 4LO.... I was playing with it the other day on ice and noticed that even if you shut off traction control it still kicks in when you really get to spinnin. And then when you shut down both traction and stability...
