Actually, Ford's has a few less issues than GM's even though it's basically the same tranny. GM cheaped out on the manufacturing. It was developed by ZF and Ford/GM bastardized it.
Truck here at 11 and got started. Old one off and back together with the new one was a 2 hour job. Old stuff fought coming apart. Then had to make adjustments to new one to get close to same old...
