Disappointing. :-/

Hey all, So I had the idea of putting a lot of my music on MP3 data CDs and playing it in my Rainier with the nav system. Long question short, does the stock nav system recognize and play MP3 CDs? I can't find any indication one way or the other.

I have an '05 and have noticed mine dimming, then coming back (independent of engine speed, so I don't suspect an alternator). I was thinking I had adaptive headlights and nobody told me. :undecided:

It does sound rather electronic, so I'm going to say that it's something having to do with the speakers. Could be that wire that SmokeyMcBlazer mentioned, could be some dirt in the knobs. Could be that my wiring doesn't like the sudden cold mornings we're having in Georgia. It doesn't show...

Update: I put in a bew battery tonight and it cranked up like a new car. The big test will be if it starts normally and then again tomorrow. If it does, problem solved. If it doesn't, well, I'll just say that I needed a new battery anyway and then go forward from there.

Battery connections are clean, no corrosion or buildup or anything. (Addendum to earlier: it's an Autocraft Gold, not a Duralast. Date on battery is 11/10, so nearly 4 years old). It looks like we're about to have a thunderstorm come through, so I may have to check most of the grounds later...

Yeah, I keep telling myself to invest in a multimeter. I didn't have my wrenches handy to take the battery cover and brace all the way off, but it looks like a Duralast Gold. Also, I went to start the truck again just now, and got all power inside, but a "clickety-clickety-clack-clack-clack"...

Oh, it definitely cracked. That was where the (forceful) leak was coming from. I'm not so sure it froze due to an arctic blast, since it only started leaking about a week before I did the repair.

Pushing it down didn't stop the leak, so I went ahead down to the local AutoZone and bought a new pump. Turns out that was the right move, as you can see the old one below... I recommend removing the grille and right headlight (on a Rainier) before doing this. Makes the job much easier...

Guys, I found the problem... it's a pretty forceful leak right at the pump, I believe. See for yourselves...

THIS. I dumped a whole bottle of fluid in there... then I was checking underneath the truck for leaks because it still didn't seem full.
