To clarify my vehicle is a 4.2 and it is a 2 wire crank sensor. It would have been help[full if someone would have said the 4.2 have a rev limiter in the beginning of this post. I've never owned one of these, and all my other trucks don't have this option.

Update, I did get all the old gas out and replaced with fresh and I took the car for a drive around the block it does shift its sluggish and under powered but it is working. still will not rev up.. with my scanner hooked up it shows absolute throttle position at 33% when holding to the floor...
