    Suspension/Wheel Troubleshoot

I've replaced the bearings several times, so I'm pretty sure I know when they're going bad. There is absolutely no noise with this wobble. I was doing more research and some suggests it's a bad tire. There is a leak and I recently saw a thin wire protruding from between some tread. Could this...

    Suspension/Wheel Troubleshoot

I am somewhat a novice when it comes to suspension. I do plenty of work on other areas of my Envoy, but have not touched any suspension parts myself. So, forgive me if this is a noob question. I am having significant "wobble" in my front passenger side wheel. It feels like the wheel is egg...

    Removing Secondary Air Injection System

P.S. Does anyone recommend either tuning company over the other? (I see PCMforless is now PCMofNC)

    Removing Secondary Air Injection System

Thanks to everyone for all of the great info on this topic. The SAIS has been a thorn in my side for over 2 years. I passed my state's emissions 2 years ago with the replacement of the air check valve. Well, wouldn't you know, the pump eventually went (for a while, my kids thought we had put a...

Water Pump - Roaring noise from fan

Hi Everyone, I just diagnosed and fixed a problem with my water pump, of which the exact symptoms I wasn't able to find on the forum here (anyone feel free to refer a thread that might if you can find it). So, here was the issue: Engine would idle very roughly, almost with a little growl in...

    Thermostat replacement

I realized I didn't address the electrical issue. I didn't have any issues with mine. I can't fathom that removing a battery connection would create issues with other electrical components. Don't we have to remove the battery to replace it periodically? I would just disconnect the battery...

    Thermostat replacement

Just replaced mine today. Can't fathom how some can go through the wheel well. I had the piece of the body along the frame that left only a couple of inches of room to play with, so I didn't even try. Here's some pointers to possibly make it go quicker: - pick up some ratcheting wrenches if you...

Front End Noise (not likely the hub assembly)

Late follow up and an important one! The bad bearing actually ended up being the driver's side. I can't understand why the noise would go away when I turned right, but I just replaced it today and the noise is completely gone. I did find one alarming thing while in there though: diff fluid...

Front End Noise (not likely the hub assembly)

Thanks for the responses all. I would have to agree with the Roadie. I retained a bit of my physics from school, and when you turn right, the weight of the vehicle moves to the left, thanks to inertia. So, my noise occurs loudest when I turn left, which puts the weight on the passenger side...

Front End Noise (not likely the hub assembly)

Found the new site finally, thanks to a PM from somebody (from OS, not sure what his new name is). Here is my issue: I've already replaced both front wheel hub/bearing assemblies in my 2004 Envoy, as they both went bad before 65k miles. So, I feel like I know what a bad bearing sounds like and...
