Nice place ya'll got here. I joined a while back just for research but needed some advice and posted up the issue I'm having with my wife's 2005 Rainier. Already have some good advice, thanks.
I'm a retired Coast Guardsman, Machinery Technician, made Chief Warrant Officer from E-7 and then was appointed LT (O3E). Did 20 years and couldn't decide if I liked it or not so I stayed another 10 years and decided I didn't so I got out.
After the CG I kicked around with a couple of companies and found a home building boats and barges, loved that job. Retired and moved to MO, not too far from Branson.
Here are a couple barges and boats I built at my last job. First one is a 185,000 barrel oil barge. Next is a smaller version, 155,000 bbl, this was taken in the Mississippi river in New Orleans. The next 2 are inland tow boats, first is a standard boat the next 2 are called jack ups as the wheelhouse raises and lowers to pass under bridges.
