In a earlier post I asked, and received advice about what might be the cause of a persistent AF odor. Well after weeks of searching and finding no leaks and assuming the worst (heater core) I found the source.
DUH!...radiator cap... simple right?
I blew on the business end and had flow and noticed a little piece of rubber(seal) sticking out of one of the slots. Got a new cap blew on it and had no flow, so I cut the old cap in half and found that the seal on the relief valve was all puckered.
I don't know why I always seem to assume the worst and overlook the obvious.....Polish heritage? ...Mike.

On the plus side, I purchased a couple of tools in preparation for the heater core job(which will not happen now). Nice set of Kent Moore(USA) hose clamp pliers and a kit from NAPA for removing quick disconnect hose fittings used on the heater hoses and other stuff  ...Mike.

I should get some hose clamp pliers. Those things are a pain to release with channel locks. How much did those set you back?

This is the actual tool that I bought, I offered them $20 incl. s&h and they accepted my offer. I like to get Kent Moore tools when I can because they are what the dealer uses and made well in the USA...Mike
