Hi guys. I was replacing the battery and thermostat so I cleaned the throttle body. We finished everything and it started fine. She was having a stalling problem every now and then. she moved it to the street and there it sits. Code P1515 and P1512. Would they cause the motor to not turn over at all? New battery. Old one was 5 years old so I just went ahead and got a new one. My health is not good so its hard for me to work on anything. Im teaching my daughter how to do this stuff. I'm thinking of replacing the throttle body. Its the 03 with the I6

Did you by chance touch the MAP sensor that is behind the throttle body and near the firewall? I unplugged mine to get the harness out of the way a little while I looked down the intake manifold and it threw a code for the sensor being unplugged. It still ran though only the service engine soon light was solid. I reset the codes with my scan tool and it was just fine after.

As previously said, try to reset the PCM by either pulling the fuse or leaving the battery disconnected for 30-45 minutes and see if that corrects the problem. Another thing to see, when you start the truck by turning the key to on, do you see the throttle body close completely and then re-open to it's idle position or does it just hang there? Maybe while cleaning you got some cleaner inside the throttle body and messed up the stepper motor and sensor within there.

Check to be sure that the throttle body was plugged in right. Pull it and reconnect it to ensure a proper connection. Inspect the pins to be sure none got bent. Just seems too much of a coincidence that it malfunctioned right after you cleaned it.

We had the battery disconnected wile we went to get a new one. About 2 hours. I'll give it a look over after I let my leg rest up a few days. Hard to work on cars with one leg.

Any update on this? I'll be in Iowa City on business tomorrow. I have an extra throttle body (from my 2004 engine) and Torque so if you want help just say the word.

I'm waiting on a new throttle body. It should be here Monday. Thanks for the offer. I'm in bad shape. I think my cancer fight might be about over. My wife's brother is going to help my daughter install it. Witch is a good thing. He's a lot better with electrical stuff than me.
