2003 TB 4x4 selector doesn't light or function

Posting this as it may help someone. After researching a bit (youtube) found a similar problem. Disconnected negative battery terminal 20 to 30 minutes and then reattached. After reattaching pulled fuse 8 (under the hood) and kept it out 10 seconds or so. Replaced fuse and all is well. For...

2003 TB 4x4 selector doesn't light or function

The 4 wheel drive selector switch suddenly does not light for the selected AWD, 4x4 low or high. It also does not engage anything.. There are no sounds when you move the switch. Don't really know where to start. The MIL has not come on showing any problem with 4 wheel drive. Found no blown fuses.

    Battery light on

I ended up replacing the 2 pin connector, cut off the old connector and soldered to the existing wires. All went well and the battery light went off and it is charging at 14.6 V at normal idle. All is well for the moment. Appreciate all the help. On to getting the old 8N running.

    Battery light on

If I replace the connector, do I splice into the existing wires or run them to the PCM? This car is almost a constant test of patience. It gives me something to use my tools on and a need for more. Thanks for help. This is a great site.

    Battery light on

If one of those wires is loose can that be repaired or do you need to buy a new connector. After wiggling the wires I got the Voltage to go to 14.3 V, before was 14.1 V. So I have a feeling you are right about where the problem is. Test drive was a bumpy country road and V dropped from 14.5...

    Battery light on

After replacing thermostat and water pump and putting all back together battery light came on. In order to replace thermostat, I removed the alternator, but kept the wiring connected. I was careful when moving alternator as to not mess up connections. The battery was not connected through all...

    2003 TB thermostat

Getting the alternator out of the way was key. Made it all possible. Thanks. Using a couple of extensions joined together on a ratchet made removing and installing lower bolt (going through wheel well) no problem. I feel better having replaced thermostat.

    2003 TB thermostat

Thought about replacing thermostat while replacing water pump but can't see how to get to the lower bolt. Has anyone had success with this? Appreciate help on removal of shroud. Am also replacing radiator hoses. Having trouble getting to engine side clamp on lower hose. I am planning on...

    Jiffy tite connectors

According to what I've seen on youtube about removing water pump on 2003 trailblazer I'll need to disconnect the transmission lines just below the power steering pump in order to remove the radiator shroud. There are 2 lines and jiffy connectors(e-clips) and I don't understand how the...
