last night I started having problems with my trailblazer not starting. when i turned the key to start it would do nothing. Well after doing a little searching someone in the internet said something about fuse 22 in the panel under the hood.

I popped the hood and checked it out. low and behold the fuse was LOOSE. I have never heard of or have seen that problem, so as a quick band-aid i rolled up a piece of electrical tape and wedged it between two fuses and Ta-Da it started.

So if you learn anything from this, Check out tight the fuses fit first off. could be the same problem I had

Also my permanent fix was taking a very small screw driver and bending the tabs back in to make contact.

Hopefully I can save someone else the headache.

Report much appreciated!

That is a pretty interesting one. As the fuse is a stationary part that just sits there unless removed, it's interesting how the contacts ended up getting out of place.

Well right after I got my tb it didn't crank once, I'm guessing the previous owner had a ignition issue, and shoved a multimeter probe in the slot try to troubleshoot the problem. I probably have been lucky this whole time.

Good info. I had recent similar problem with unusual cause. Cranked fine and then one morning nothing....dead and all accessories too. Turned out the battery had an internal short, intermittent and dangerous. Could have exploded. Battery tested fine at Advance Auto because the short was not active. Discovered by mobile mechanic who had seen a couple of similar cases. Problem solved. New battery.

Quick update, what i thought was my permanent fix didn't last, but just bend the tangs on the fuse has lasted. Haven't had an issue in months.
