Hello All,
My '02 TBlazer's tranny finally gave up on me. 200,540 on the clock and no reverse or 4th gear.

Couple questions: Is $1,750 reasonable for a trans swap? Also, what to do with the (rarely used) transfer case? All fluids changed @ 100K and 150K miles. Any other might-as-wells?

First significant trouble with this truck I bought with 40K miles in 2006!

Only talked to shop guy on phone so far. But I thought they had a rebuilt one. Rebuilt units on Evil-Bay for $800-1,000...

The transfer case fluid will be due for a change (every 50k).

For a rebuilt installed? That does sound like a good deal from what others have posted.

The 4l80e in the sierra was about 2k. Make sure that is with a new Torque converter. The guy also did the updates to the valve body to correct some of the common problems. Otherwise that is a damn fair price.
