500 for new bearings and seals for front diff?

Got this quote today for new bearings for the front diff...Just the carrier side. I had planned on replacing them before i install my axles out of my parts truck. Figured as much work as carrier is to get in and out that id throw the bearings in it because mine failed which promted my buying a parts truck with gt4 and g80. but for this price i think ill just replace the seals. has anyone else done this or know another source besides the dealership

So have your bearings failed? If not, I'd leave them alone and just replace the seal if it needs it.

Are you dropping the whole front diff and installing a used unit?
If so either leave it alone or do all bearing and seals.
If there is a local machine shop you can cut the bearings off your self and have new ones pressed on shouldn't be more then $50 for them to be pressed on.
