Another Brake Controller question. Right or Left side mount?

Hi Mooseman and Reprise. Thanks for your great input on the controller. Now I have another question. Should I mount it on the right or left side of the steering wheel? The right side seems a little tight and cramped but possible. The left side is more open for placement and has more room overall. I went to the Pick a part found a replacement bolster that goes under the steering wheel and gauge cluster so I can keep the factory one original with no holes.

I also found a Tekonsha Voyager controller for $8.00!! Thanks for the idea on that Mooseman! So now the dilemma....Left or Right of steering wheel. Thanks all!

FWIW, I mounted mine here, never gets in the way.

Thats the same place I have mine mounted.

Once you get it adjusted to brake load, which as I remember, is really easy on these, you almost never touch it again, other than to look at it after you connect your trailer to be sure it detects your trailer.

The wire harness is on that side under the plastic panel. It only makes sense.
