Hi wanted to know everything about my envoy the title says not actual mileage and the vin check I ran shows it went through a lot of sells around the same mileage so it was probably stuck in auction

I want to know if I actually have 200k since I get 8mpg

No I was just saying that maybe I have that much I actually have 134k miles and its not kilometers

So is no one running checks?

so knowing that it has more miles on it than you think, helps you how? Unless you are planning to take legal action or such for "false info", wouldn't it be wiser to spend more time focusing on the issue of poor gas mileage?

I just wanted to know the true history behind it since I have prob 50+ hard written codes on the PCM but everything looks pretty much new in the engine bay so maybe they changed the engine or something also I had a 160* t stat and a badly cross threaded o2 so maybe the last owner wasn't that bright and with the Vin check I ran it seemed it had stayed in auction for a while, why?

One of my friends just left a job at a nice sized auto auction, and if the truck sat at the auction all that long then something is most likely "up" with it. Typically, used car dealers snag up nice looking cars quickly and put them on a "buy here pay here" lot. Also if it has like 50+ codes, I'd say you might have got taken. The 50 codes would be a reason no one bought it at auction before you.

There is a lemon law if you can prove they knowingly sold you a P.O.S., but I don't think it applies to auction style sells.

As far as looking up the vehicle history, you might have to pay to join a online site like carfox etc.

Hopefully the truck just needs a little TLC. Good luck man.

Well I'm not sure if it was in auction but it had records of purchase a few times and they were around the same miles but idk

Ok, I gotcha. Not sure where it was before you got it, but I ran a google search of your vin number and found ads from a place called foreign auto imports from NJ.

http://www.indexusedcars.com/car-for-sale/2005_GMC_Envoy_2babb3a7-d5a9-4b7c-ae43-444b339aa7b9/

But unless someone will use their account to vin search, the cheapest I found was for $9.99 from here:

https://www.vinaudit.com/vin-search?vin=1GKDT13S752203723
Thanks  idk why i never googled my vin

so far i found out a few things:
it went from- GLEN ALLEN VA, Price $18,998
to - Irvington, NJ, Price $10,994
at both dealers the milage was 110,781

also i found someone did buy it in nj and got it impounded in nyc
2005 GMC Plate #: R50BZR NJ VIN: 1GKDT13S752203723 CREDIT ACCEPT CORP
it was sold september 10th 2013 which is the day it was listed from the dealer in irvington nj

so that would mean it hopped around since there is no way it went from va to a nj buyer to nyc to be sold to nj dealer and then back to nyc
also on a vin site i found this:
04/28/2010 - 90,931 miles - Vehicle listed for sale in Brooklyn, NY for $11,995
also it was in north bergen, nj for $9,000 from the same dealer in irvington, nj

idk what happened with this car?

also apparently my envoy had nerf bars idk what happened to them

i would like to know how they drove it since when we bought it the dic said 13mpg and now im getting nothing close

Glad you got some more info on your truck. Hopefully you get it running better. Let us know how it turns out.

again this helps you how? Anyone can reset the dic go driving down the highway at some normal speed, etc... get the "dic" to register almost any gas mileage value and park it. You need to look at things as opposed to hoping some "magical history tour" will provide you with some "gift" for troubleshooting.

i know it dose not help bring back my mpg, like if i talk about it being higher the truck will get happy and use less fuel but i would like to know why it said not actual milage on the title, maybe it has much higher mileage and then i would not be expecting so much from it or doubt when something goes bad but if this is true mileage then i will have to doubt certain things and look at certain things that should be fixed.

How is not knowing the history of a vehicle helpful. If someone wants to learn something, that's a good thing. Not something people should ridicule, regardless of its legitimacy.
