Electrical on XUV again...

Back to having a single electrical issue. Any one have any advice for my Power sliding roof. All works perfect with the key on the rear door, but switch inside stopped working. If the roof is open and I push button it says roof open or closed but doesn't operate with switch and never has since I got it. IDEAS? OR JUST PULL THE SWITCH AND TRY IT WITH ANOTHER? I hope I can find someone who understands electrical better and could help trouble shoot..

Another member over on another XUV forum had a similar issue.

Turned out to be a problem in the rear tailgate key switch. One of the contacts was stuck in the key switch, and over-riding the rest of the system.

He just unplugged the switch at the tailgate, and tried the interior switchs, and everything started working. He later replaced that switch at the tailgate, and no further issues.

Great to know the last owner says he replaced it and gave me an extra also he said will work in the future I will try to unplug and see if that works or switch it out.
