Hey guys,

I am new here but I hope my first post will help some of you when you need to replace your sway bar end links. It is an easy job and in the video I give some tips that I learned to make it go faster!

Let me know what you think! And if you like the video, give it a "thumbs up" on YouTube for me (it helps me out, thanks).

I was referred to this site by a viewer and he said that you guys welcome "how to" videos which I like making so that I can help people out!
I was on another Trailblazer site and a moderator messaged me telling me I had to stop posting my videos on the Trailblazer (I posted 6 videos in the last year). They said I had to be a supporting vendor even though I dont make any money from posting my videos. I told him I was disappointed because I always contributed to conversation there and the videos really helped people fix their truck! They didnt care so now I am here!

Great Vid i will probably be replacing these soon as well with the rear links too

You should post your other vids here too

If that was trailvoy, I'd be very interested who advised you of that insane "rule". The folks here BUILT trailvoy into what it had been, only to have the site sold out from under us to profit mongers from Toronto. So we all left.

Welcome, and as you can see - we LOVE to help owners out with no commercialism getting in the way.

Welcome! I wish my end links were that easy to get off. I will have to end up torching the things off like I did to my OEM rear links when they went. Mine are still good at 136k miles and they are the ones that came with the truck *knock on wood*. I replaced the rears before as they were clunking and I got Moog links and they broke after a year so now I have suspension MAXX links on it and it works great in the rear. I tried to upgrade the fronts but no matter how much penetrating oil I used, it wouldn't break free. In fact I even snapped the hex key I used to try and remove the nut with, lol. I just left them alone for now, I will do them when they start to go but for now they are nice and quiet and not out of round at all.

Welcome! Nice video. Looks professional and well edited.

No it was the "Chevy Truck Forum". They were not very nice and didnt even give me a warning or anything (even thought I really dont think I did anything wrong). Either way, I like it here a lot more anyway so I lucked out! I rather provide info to people and a site who actually care and want to help each other out!

Thanks! Yea, I lucked out! I thought I was going to have to cut them off! I am making a video on a "homemade" penetrating fluid that works better than any brand name I have used so maybe I will post that up. It has helped many get parts off that would otherwise still be stuck lol

Welcome to the Nation!

Excellent video, you'll fit in here just fine.

Thanks for the video.

Just an FYI, you can also add Saab 9-7X (all years) to your list of vehicles this covers!

I recently did my rear links. The lower nuts came off OK, but I had to cut the tops off. Not much fun, but all in all, not that bad.

Thank you! I will add it to the description! I didnt even think about the Saabs when thinking what uses that chassis design! I appreciate the tip!
Also, Am I missing any other cars?

Let's see...I'm not sure what's in your description but here they are. Buick Rainier (or Rainer, can't remember how to spell it), Oldsmobile Bravada, Isuzu Ascender, Saab 9-7x, Chevy Trailblazer, GMC Envoy.

watched the video. lots of good info but my nuts are 21mm, not 18. not have 21 end wrench but will sniff after one. have 2004 tb.

My nuts were 18mm. That is weird. The 18mm fit perfect and the 3/4 was a little loose.

They could have been replaced in the past and those had 21mm.

Great video. I need to do my front end links. On the drivers side the head of the bolt snapped off the bolt.

Am I correct in assuming the 2008 model has a different front end link?

Yes those are the correct links. I have a 2008 trailblazer and recently replaced my front end links. I got mine from autozone, but basically the same thing. Hardest part was removing the old ones. One of mine was completely gone, and the other was partially there. Had to cut it off. Easy job none the less.

Thanks! The head broke off the bolt on the drivers side. Shouldn't be to bad to chane. I am going to attempt it tomorrow.
