New Truck Order is IN!

So to add to my earlier post that @movietvet kinda called me out on...

I am still searching.

The Ford F150 22-25 (except 2023) is still in the mix
The GMC Sierra is still in the mix
The GMC Hummer 3x is still in the mix

I would really like to find something smaller, like my XUV size... But so far no dice.

I am also bouncing the idea around to pull the motor/trans on the XUV. Get the LM4 rebuilt, and drop on a Magnusson SC, and TBSS diffs. Then sending it to a dealer to get all the HVAC doors, and incidentals fixed. Then sending it to a upholstery shop and getting the interior redone. Then to a body shop, and get it painted and PDR'ed. The cost would be less than a vehicle I would buy.

Problem is, I would still have a XUV that the rear end gate latches are still being problematic on. And then the gas prices being so high, and the electricity that I power my Rivian with from my house being so cheap!

My question would be why was the Sierra traded in after only 6500 miles? Maybe you could find a non-Denali at a more reasonable price.

Hmmmm. An XUV Envoy Cyclone? Car show judges would approve

With gas prices nowadays, you are in a good position to get another EV. I just can't justify the initial cost and the range would be garbage pulling my 7000# RV trailer. And the way my house is setup, getting a charger installed would be a nightmare (hydro panel at one end, charger at the other end).

Sorry, can't help with dealership friends. I have a girl friend at the local Toyota parts counter, that gives me great parts discounts, when I am working on a Toyota in my driveway. That's it.

Need the max range. That option is available on other models, but none that I have found.

Plus, I really would like to have the massaging seats.

As to why it was traded in... Most new EV owners are new to the world of EV, and dont understand the costs, and nuances of it. Others, they buy them as a status symbol until the next thing comes out.
