So I have the wonderful P0606 code. The Buick stopped running but then started right back up and the check engine light came on. It seems to be running OK right now but I'm just wondering what a new PCM is going to cost me? Dealer? PCM For Less?
Thanks!

Have you tried clearing the code? It may be worth while to do a PCM reset and clean the throttle body while you are doing that.

If you would like a tuned PCM then PCMofNC.com offers the Core program. They will send you a tuned PCM and you can send them your old PCM. Initial cost is $234, but on returning the old PCM, you will get refunded $75. You have the option to keep both PCMs as well.

Although a tune is good, it's not absolutely necessary or getting the VIN programmed in. Get a good used PCM from a same year truck and engine and do a security relearn. Search on the site for that. Easy and takes 30 minutes. That will get it running again and you can drive it like this for a while until you get a CASE relearn done. Needs to be done regardless of a tune or not for the PCM to learn the crankshaft angle of your engine.
