Was the problem ever troubleshot with a Tech II tool commanding the fan RPM up and down, or just by reading the code?e019404 said:I have installed about 4 fan clutches ('03 Envoy 4x4, 4.2L). Recent one in May. Code P1481 came back within 2 weeks. The most recent one was purchased online (rockauto). Any suggestions or advice? thanks

I think the next step is to try to find a good wiring diagram and check the harness back toward the PCM. Then maybe take it to a shop with a tech II tool.
Thanks for the advice
