I was telling my wife that I would like to get our trucks professionally detailed in the spring. I'm talking about the kind of job that the dealers do before a resale. I'll do the wrenching but, I hate the whole delailing process.
Question is...what would one expect to pay for the complete detailing job? :undecided: ...Mike.

Really depends on what you get done. Check with chriSS k, he can probably give you a good idea. If I was close to him I'd let him do mine. A good job isn't cheap tho.

Damn 125? And under for. A full detail??

A full detail for me would be taking tires off seats out and getting that thing perfect. That would run about 500+. And that's on the cheap side. A baseline detail takes me roughly 3-5hours. A big detail is about 8-10 hours, more depending on how bad the paint is.

Look up envious detailing. Dude works wonders. Very pricey but we'll worth the job. Look at his prices or what he charges. Granted now he's doing very high end cars. I remember one Lamborghini he did was about $1500+.

For a simple wash/clay/wax is about 75-100.

California must be way higher price cause somewhere between 100-200 is about right around here.

I was quoted $300 from a local that works for Adams polishes to do a paint correction.

Interior and exterior about 150. For years I went to the same guy so the prices went down over time as he didn't need to do too much to keep it clean.

Sometimes the shops will quote you once they see the car. If the exterior and interior have been kept in good shape then it's that much less work for them. But don't forget that getting coffee stirrers or tongue depressors with cleaner on them into all the little crevices, shampooing carpets, cleaning the engine bay, washing, puffing, polishing, waxing the exterior can take a little more time with a bigger vehicle or one that has not been kept in decent shape.

Around here (Oakland/San Francisco California) you're looking at about $150 for a smaller car and maybe $200 for something like my Envoy or a Trailblazer. Those prices are really for a thorough job. If you want it to look like it was new add another hundred dollars or more to it.

Man you guys are expensive. Lol
I BMOBP and spend an entire day doing it myself. helps me appreciate the hard earned money I made to pay it off.

Definitely get a BBB check. If the place has only been operating a short while they may not give a sh*t about your car.

I had a detail job done on a tour bus by the new detail place and they did a great job. A month later I recommended them to a customer. My customer came to me the next day saying his gauges were unreadable. They were full of condensation. Not only that, but their were puddles on the floor and water was running of the dash vents.

I believe they used a hose to rinse the dash. A friend of mine confirmed that he has actually seen this before.

Went to the place the next day and they were locked up and never reopened.

Back when I used to detail (early 2000's), the price was $40/hr. I can only imagine what the price is nowadays.
