On a nomal day, im on the F150 Forum for my truck But I figure they cant help an 03 envoy 5.3. the situation is I replaced the rear blendoor actuator because the original broke and created a delay in the system of about 5 mnutes. the new actuator reduced it to about 30 seconds. now however, the rear a/c intermediately blows cold and or hot air. the guys at autozone suggest a new expansion valve but idk for sure since the front blows like the ice age.i did turn the new actuator to fit the gear behind it to look like the old one so im hoping I just might have to unturn it a little. what do y'all think? do I needa replace the expansion valve, turn the actuator or something different.

Did you pull the fuse or disconnect the battery to force an actuator recalibration?

There's only one system, so if you have cold up front, you have available cold refrigerant in the back. Unless you're low on refrigerant.

I'd pull the rear panel and look at the actuator's shaft position as you move the rear temp control. Then decide what to do after you see if the rear control is effective or not at cotnrolling the actuator.

I'd just like to point out... "...normally on the F150 forum..." sounds like for all the heat people get stirred up on certain things around here, it could be worse :rotfl:

im a mechanic an I work primarily on ford cars so yea and I don't use air conditioning, just windows down , haven't been able to check moms air-conditioning issue on the envoy, but I noticed theres still some clicking from the actuator area, I personally think I turned the gear too much when I turned it to match the teeth up.

Roadie,
I have an issue of not getting any air to the rear. Just noticed it today. I checked the rear controls and they were off. I hit the power button and the display came up with the bilevel picture and off on the screen and I cannot get it to come on. What should I check from here?
Thank you!!
