Hi Guys,
I am having issues with my passenger side seat belt. It is constantly locking up and will not until lock and retract. After about 10 minutes of yanking on it, I finally was able to get it to retract.
I have searched the forum and seen others with very similar issues. I have tried following the links to the pictures on the 'other' site but the are either broken or they are no longer available.
I see references to removing a 'green part' from the mechanism. This concers me a bit seeing as it's my fiancée side. Does this degrade the seat belts ability to restrain in the event of a crash? Is it a better idea to replace the belt itself? I don't know how big a hassle this would be with the belt built into the seat itself.
Does anyone have any decent pictures of the fix for this? Is there a write up anywhere that I am missing? Thank you all for the time! Have a Happy New Year!
