So.... if you were buying a new mini van what would it be?

Yeh, I looked through it in detail. It's actually surprising what it actually covers. O2 sensors, wiring harnesses, ,wheel bearings, bushings, struts, audio/video components and wiring (including rear back up cam and NAV as long as its factory installed), speakers, Heating/Cooling, literally about everything on the vehicle.

It doesn't cover light bulbs, wipers, brake pads/rotors, tires, etc etc.

Correct. $100 deductible after the 3yr 36,000 mile bumper to bumper ends. It requires the van to be in my name. The warranty does not transfer to another owner.

Maximum Care New Vehicle Coverage

In 25 years when it throws a rod, you pay them $100 and they put in a new engine? If that is the case, you won't ever have to buy another vehicle for the rest of your life (or at least the life of the warranty company). This doesn't pass the smell test.

Of course there is a limit.... The fine print that I read stated that the repair is limited to the cash value of the vehicle. In 25 years when the vehicle is worth $2500 (throwing a random number out there) of course they won't pay for a $5000 motor rebuild. The way I understood it was they would pay the cash value of the vehicle as your repair and basically end the contract.

The longest warranty they offered me was 7 year 100,000 miles. I wanted to be covered over 100,000 miles and got them to give me a good deal on the unlimited time and mileage warranty. It was only a few hundred dollars more than the 100,000 mile warranty. I paid about $2300 for the warranty after negotiating. I figure (based on other vehicles I've owned) that I should be able to recoup that money easily in 8 years with covered repairs. I'd like to have the van 10+ years but anything after 7-8 is a bonus in my book.

With all the options this thing has, repairs are going to be expensive...... power sliding doors (with full size power windows in them), power rear door, back up cam, over head console, load leveling, entertainment system, etc etc
