Brighter Back-up Lights Needed

I use a set of LED replacements. Very bright. Just plug in to replace originals.
Yup. LED. If still not bright enough, maybe an LED off-road light connected to the trailer harness.
Some of those off road LED spots can be used to land airplanes! If that ain’t bright enough, you’re out of luck.
I bought a set of cheap driving lights like these and installed them in place of the stock BU lights.
They fit the hole but, you will have to modify/cut out the existing brackets to get them in deep enough(flush) and you will have to splice in the proper connectors. It's easy enough to do and worth the effort...Mike.

My wife found the Voy's back up lights to be terrible. What I did was switch over to ascender tail light that have the reverse bulbs at a higher point. I wired them with bumper lights and now I have quad back up lights. I also added jdmastar super bright led bulbs back there and my tail lights are now brighter then most car head lights. Lol.
Funny, I have the Ascenders on mine too. Maybe I should do what you did in conjunction with the driving lights for the "landing lights" look.
We're talking extra relay now.....
I didn't have to wire in a relay. I just tapped into the wires in the bumper and ran them up to the ascender tails....
Unless your talking about kicking them on whenever you want with out putting the truck in reverse????
No, I was talking about a relay in my case. The driving lights that I have as back ups now plus the Ascender back ups would no doubt be too much wattage without the addition of a relay.

I bought a pair of single row led flood lights and mounted them to the bottom of the bumper. I have a relay that is switched by the trailer reverse lights fuse powering them and the setup has worked flawlessly for several years now. They even survived a rear ending. The stock backup lights are completely inadequate for backing up dark winding driveways.
I found a set of "30W" LED bulbs to be sufficient on the Trailblazer. That 30W rating is baloney, no way they can be that much as they'd melt down due to not near enough heatsinking for the LEDs. Regardless, they were still plenty bright.
On the Silverado, they're decent, but the smaller reverse light section on my aftermarket tails makes them not as bright as I'd like, so I may eventually do a pair of pods for quad reverse lights, aka landing lights mentioned above!

I put my LED reverse lights in weeks after I got my TB. Haven't had a problem since, super bright and work flawlessly. Reasonably priced as well, easy install.
